SHORT-TERM REHABILITATION PROGRAM
When recovering from an illness or injury, some people often need a little more care before returning home from the hospital. The Short-Term Rehabilitation Program at the Julian J. Leavitt Family Jewish Nursing Home is designed to fill that gap by providing comprehensive care and support from a compassionate staff.
The program offers expert nursing care in specially-designed and
equipped medical units. Depending upon individual needs, a resident may
receive daily therapy, education and training, while families receive
support and counseling as part of every comprehensive care plan. Our
staff also places a priority on every resident's adjustment to illness
or injury. For that reason, both the resident and family receive
support and counseling services to make that adjustment as smooth as
possible.
Our services are highly comprehensive to meet the
often-complex and individualized needs of our residents. We admit
individuals who may need complex medical/surgical services, IV therapy,
comprehensive medical rehabilitation and respiratory therapy, along
with those who have been hospitalized with neurological, oncological
and orthopedic conditions.
Our professional staff is dedicated to providing residents
with the most compassionate and highest quality sub-acute care and
support, to ensure that the transition from hospital to the home
results in the best outcomes. Our staff includes:
- Professional Nursing Staff
- Physical Therapists
- Occupational Therapists
- Speech-Language Pathologists
- Social Workers
- Recreational Therapists
- Physicians and Consulting Specialists
