HOME HEALTH CARE PROGRAMS & SERVICES
The following are descriptions of Spectrum's interdisciplinary team and examples of the types of services provided:
Registered Nurses - provide a wide range of skilled nursing
services, including clinical assessments, wound management, injections,
cardiopulmonary care, pain management and medication education.
Physical Therapists - work with clients to restore mobility and
strength through a variety of methods. They also offer techniques for
walking and transfer, provide assistance with ordering rehabilitative
equipment and perform home safety evaluations.
Occupational Therapists - utilize rehabilitation techniques to
help those who have difficulty with performing daily activities such as
eating, bathing and dressing due to an injury or illness.
Speech-Language Therapists - work with individuals to overcome
communication problems often caused by an accident, stroke, surgery or
illness, as well as help with breathing and/or swallowing difficulties
and muscle control.
Certified Home Health Aides - assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, etc.), meal preparation and light housekeeping.
Medical Social Workers - evaluate the challenges faced by
clients and their loved ones, offer counseling and help identify
community resources. They also can assess any additional medical needs
and coordinate the appropriate services.
Telemedicine - a health monitoring system that is placed in the
client's home to check vital signs. After the information is collected,
the data is electronically transmitted directly to our professional
nursing staff for review and made available to the client's physician
in a timely manner.
