Hospice is a philosophy of care for those living with a terminal illness. Care is focused on areas of symptom management, physical, spiritual and emotional support.
The Spectrum Hospice team has the skills and knowledge to provide the care that is needed and will care for clients at home, at an assisted living facility, in a skilled nursing facility, and sometimes in a hospital.
The team includes family members, doctors, nurses, social workers, pastoral/spiritual counselor, home health aides and trained volunteers who will help care for the client. We also offer volunteer-based Pet Therapy program through Bright Spot Therapy Dogs in Westhampton, MA, and a therapeutic harpist.
There is much that is not understood about how Hospice works, and we want to tell you more about what we know, to share with you what we know so you can make the most informed decision possible for yourself or your loved one.
